Thanks for return of beloved statue

In the near future, as you drive by the Stevens Point Fire Department, you will again see "The Boy With The Leaky Boot" statue standing upon its pedestal. For those who do not know, the statue was vandalized June 20, 1998 and thought to be unrepairable. This is the second time in 10 years the boy has had to be repaired.

Thanks to the hard work and dedication of John Becker, of Becker Industry, and his employees, The Boy is once again restored to original form. He will be rededicated in a public ceremony in the future.

The Stevens Point Firefighters IAFF Local 484 would like to thank all the individuals who donated to the fund to restore The Boy to his rightful place of honor. Special thanks to Horgan Sales and Service for donating and installing a security system, and to Anderson, Shannon, O'Brien, Rice and Bertz for donating their time and effort in the ongoing process of recovering full restitution.
