Mike
Horgan Wins Achievement Award For Industry Excellence
Wisconsin Burglar & Fire Alarm Association (WB&FAA)
President Mike Horgan has been awarded the Robert
W. Shirley Achievement Award for Industry Excellence
and Dedication.
This award has been given to Mike
for his leadership and unswerving dedication to furthering
the efforts of the alarm industry in Wisconsin. Mike’s
first year as President of the association provided
challenges that might have withered a less hardy
soul. Chief amongst these was the implementation
of verified response in the City of Milwaukee. The Awards Committee,
made up of the Association’s Past Presidents,
established the award to recognize special efforts
of unusual achievement requiring excellence
and dedication well above and beyond the norm. The award is named for Robert
W. Shirley, an individual whose 38-year career in the industry,
in Wisconsin alone, was marked by excellence and dedication. The Wisconsin Burglar & Fire Alarm Association, a charter chapter of the
National Burglar & Fire Alarm Association, promotes the interest of the
electronic protection and alarm system industry. Members of the WB&FAA
sell, install, monitor and maintain burglar and fire alarm systems, supervisory
systems, access control, closed circuit TV systems (CCTV) as well as integrated
systems and a host of other low voltage system applications. It facilitates
communication among those engaged in the sale and installation of alarm detection
and supervisory systems by providing a forum for the discussion of ideas and
problems.
The Wisconsin Burglar & Fire Alarm Association encourages the
enactment of legislation beneficial to the electronic alarm system industry
and the public interest. Of utmost importance to the Association is the promotion
of professionalism.
